In other tutorials, I’ve shown you how you to create actions and also how to load in FREE actions I gave you into your copy of Photoshop. In this tutorial, I show you how you can 10X your actions by batching them to apply to entire FOLDERS of images!

So now, not only can you easily repeat a sequence of steps with the push of a button in Photoshop, you can also automate that action to apply it to as many photos as you like– all while you go to lunch!

To batch actions:

Go to FILE/AUTOMATE/BATCH
In the BATCH dialog box, choosethe SET and ACTION you’d like to apply to your photos.
Then select the SOURCE folder where you will pull your ORIGINAL photos from.
Next, on the right side, choose a DESTINATION folder to save your REVISED images to. (HINT: create a new folder for the new images; don’t use the folder with your originals.)
Click OK and watch Photoshop do all the work! (You may need to input settings or click OK throughout this function, depending on what actions you’re performing. But, trust me, that’s a lot faster than you doing all these steps to all your photos manually!)

Batching your actions really can save you so much time and can keep your images looking consistent!
