In this tutorial, I show you how you can create your own actions in Photoshop so you easily repeat a sequence of steps with the push of a button!

If you find yourself doing the same things over and over again, like resizing images to be a certain set size or turning images into black and white, then you might consider taking a second to make it an action.

Photoshop actions allow you to record your steps so you can repeat them again whenever you select that action.

To make a Photoshop action:

Go to the WINDOW/ACTIONS
Use the options/hamburger menu at the top of the ACTIONS panel to select NEW ACTION
Name your action something intuitive and assign it a shortcut and button color if you like!
Take your time performing different functions (resizing, colorizing, whatever you want)! Photoshop is recording your steps, but not how long it takes to make them. 🙂
Hit the STOP button at the bottom of the ACTIONS panel.
You can play your actions by clicking on the name and clicking the PLAY button at the bottom of the panel.
